Fall 2020

The Instructional Planning Review Committee has now provisionally approved a set of Tier 3 courses, which have been noted in your divisional submission template which was linked in your division’s Tier 1 email. See columns A (tier), B (approval status), and D (any notes about provisional approvals). Please also make sure to complete column C, estimated number of students for in-person enrollment (see directions below).

All decisions continue to be provisional approvals based on availability of space, scheduling, and public health requirements. Courses will be prioritized for scheduling by the Office of the Registrar based on their tier, and should also be prioritized similarly as you schedule your departmental space. We cannot guarantee that we can accommodate all Tier 3 provisionally-approved courses given space limitations. Please note the following overarching policies for in-person, hybrid, and flexible course scheduling:

  • DeCal classes need to be coded as remote. DeCal courses will not be approved for in-person instruction for Fall 2020.

  • All 99, 194H, 199, 298, and 299 courses have been provisionally approved to be offered in hybrid or flexible delivery formats using departmental space. Please have your schedulers code them accordingly.

See Mode of Instruction information on the Instruction FAQ on the Registrar’s website for more information.
