The Berkley Black Student Collaboratory (BBSC) is looking for passionate, committed undergraduates to serve as mentors for local Black high school students engaged in Black Studies. The BBSC is a collaboration between the African American Studies Departments of Berkeley High School and UC Berkeley, along with African American Student Development, Cal BSU, and People's Programs, funded by a Chancellor's Community Partnership grant.
As a mentor you will:
- Share your knowledge and experience with Black youth interested in Black Studies
- Help students navigate academic pathways with confidence
- Engage in collaborative projects, workshops, and critical conversations

- Join a vibrant community of educators, community leaders, fellow Berkeley students, and the next generation of Black Studies scholars dedicated to liberation
Mentors would participate from Spetember 2025 through May 2026 and receive a $1,500 stipend. Applications are due September 14th, 2025.
Eligibility: UC Berkeley undergraduates of any major with a commitment to Black Studies and social justice.
