Community Outreach

The Berkeley Black Scholars Project is a youth participatory action research program initiated by the Fannie Lou Hamer Black Resource Center, supported by the African-American Studies Department at UC Berkeley, and funded by the Chancellors Community Partnership Fund. This program is a year long weekly community based youth participatory action research program that serves Black/African students from both Berkeley bHigh School (B-High) and Berkeley Technology Academy (B-Tech) and pairs them with UC Berkeley students. Together, students will research a problem that pertains to the Black community in Berkeley and then develop solutions to their research findings.
