C. Riley Snorton is the associate professor of Africana studies and feminist, gender, and sexuality studies at Cornell University and visiting associate professor of American studies and ethnicity at the University of Southern California.
He will speak about his newly published book Black on Both Sides: A Racial History of Trans Identity (University of Minnesota Press, 2017).

An African American and Latinx History of the U.S: An intersectional history of the shared struggle for African American and Latinx civil rights

Paul Ortiz is an associate professor of history and the director of the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program at the University of Florida. He will speak about his newly published book, An African American and Latinx History of the United States (Beacon Press, 2018).
