Amani Morrison

Doctoral Student

Amani earned her B.A. in American Studies from the University of Richmond, where she graduated magna cum laude. She earned her M.A. in African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. Her research interests include twentieth-century African American literature, black cultural studies, and black performance studies. Amani’s current research interrogates the notion of home in mid-twentieth century black Chicago as represented through literary and archival sources.
